Food was great. Staff was amazing with our kids and a mistake in the order.
Very delicious japanese food! A family owned restaurant with sushi, ramen and other japanese specialities. The service was quite good - it was more japanese reserved than canadian outgoing - but hey: it is japanese restaurant! We tried different appetizers and a variety of ramen and everything was delicious. I highly recommend it
Warm ramen on a cold winter day... a highlight of our trip!
Great food and delicious with reasonable prices. Not too busy when we got there so serving time was good.
Best sushi I've ever had. Freshly made, authentic, delicious!
We had my birthday dinner here. It was pretty tasty and reasonable price. However we think Ramen taste was a bit changed. It wasn't as flavorful as before. That was a bit sad:( Overall I recommend to come here if you'd like Japanese food in Canmore.
Quite salty. This place used to be excellent but now that it's ramen place it's not as good.
Love this place. Great food, and very friendly service. The beef teriyaki is awesome and comes on a sizzling hot plate. It's a bit on the pricey side, but I think its worth it.
Food: The ramen was ok. Not the best I had. The soup was not hot enough, the egg was cold and the broth needed a touch of love. The pork lacks flavor. Service: it was great.Location: it’s a great location, and the place is clean.I believe they can get 5 stars easy. I’ll be back.
Delicious, well served and we must add that the chef +waiter+dishwasher+sushimaker+cashier was excellent. I recommend getting there early for amazing service. And be patient, it is worth it.
Fantastic Japanese cuisine. Presentation of my sashimi was a great touch.
Decent food for the price, terrible service. Walked in with a party of four, the host/server did not say a single word as we walked in and just grabbed 4 menus and walked over to an empty table and we just followed her. Server grabbed our orders and didn't make any attempt to check on us after or any other costumers. Food arrived very late. Table next to us had a young toddler who was crying, the owner/chef came out to tell the parents that their child is being loud and need to quiet down. I would highly suggest to dine somewhere else for a better experience.
An absolutely fantastic little gem of a place. We got in just when they seemed about to close, and we were the only ones there after a few minutes. After we ordered, they gave us some sushi on the house because they felt we waited too long. I thought it was fine! The ramen was good and overall I would definitely recommend this place.Going there again before I leave Canmore!
Average ramen. Below average service.
What happened to this once okay restaurant ?Three strikes your out !!!!The menu is sparse, with the main offering being Ramen. We ordered two Miso Ramen, and it was very bland and the noodles were overdone.I read that from a reviewer that posted 7 months ago.I should of listened to that reviewer.Avoid this place like the plaque.I had high hopes, and should've realized something was up when we were the only ones in the place.
Good food, friendly service
It’s not really authentic Japanese ramen, but the price is cheap n staff were friendly.Takoyaki is better than Arashi Ramen in banff.
Soooooo good. The tan tan ramen was delish. Delightful friends and fine food made my night.
Well kept place with delicious food.
Amazing sushi and mains at this place. Would never have found it without the signs drawing us off the main drag but it was %100 worth it. Very affordable prices, especially for seafood in Canmore. The tofu bowl was delicious and the sushi we had was very good, comparable to Vancouver sushi for sure. We will definitely be returning.
Great food, very accommodating. Would recommend the tan tan ramen.
Best sushi I've had and for an incredibly reasonable price. The atmosphere was 10/10. I cannot wait for my next trip to canmore to have sushi here!
Decent Ramen, service was a bit slow at the beginning, but they quickly fixed it with extra staff.
Ambiance was lacking. The food was ok but certainly not the best sushi. Service was good.
Really good 😃love the food and the service. Will go back anytime 😃
Great food and service. We had sushi, a sizzling dish and ramen. All delicious. Reasonable prices.
Sukoyaki ramen is the way to go. Tonkatsu was alright but it really had nothing on the flavour of sukoyaki. Had a really tasty rice red ale. They have some really great sushi including California rolls, dynamite rolls, and soft shell crab rolls which are all reasonable priced. They also have a selection of sashimi which I hope to try next time. The chicken karaage came very fresh.
I am very disappointed about the food and the service of this restaurant. First of all, i visited there on a Sunday night at 6:30pm and i have to wait 1.5 hours to get my reman. Fine, if the food is outstanding, but sorry, i never have a reman is so bad,not good in taste,i ordered 3 different kind of reman and none of them can impressed me. Not recommended and will never go again.
We ordered the ramen. The day we went they weren't serving sushi which was disappointing. The service was ok as well as the food.
I don't know everything about ramen but the tonkotsu from here is really solid. Also the service and atmosphere here is great.
Very tasty. A little slow in service but worth the wait for the food
Excellent ramen at a reasonable price, hidden away off the main strip. I only give it a 4 instead of 5 because my husband asked for “hot sauce” to spice up his ramen and it was $1 additional- don’t usually expect to pay extra for condiments. Would eat here again.
The family and I enjoyed dinner this evening. I had the Tan Tan Ramen, which has spicy ground pork, and pork broth. Delicious.
Stopped here during a weekend in Canmore. It was worth the stop, sushi was as good as I've ever had it.
Great sushi and miso ramen, especially after a hard hike. Better prices than Downtown Calgary, and more authentic too. We will return soon. But I do hope you'll offer a spicy miso ramen on the menu or specials. 御馳走様でした!
In regards to ramen, I've had better broth from cup noodles. The pork and egg were great, some of the best, but the broth was watered down to the point that I didn't want to finish it. This used to be the best ramen around but since Covid it's taken a big dive. Won't be back for a while.
We had sushi, sashimi, and tempura and quite enjoyed it. The mixed tempura had a variety of veggies that you don't always see like eggplant and beans. Chefs were authentic Japanese which I think showed in some of the touches like custom mayo to go with the karaage. 👍 Didn't try the ramen so can't comment on that.
We waited more than 45 minutes for ramen while all the other tables who came in after us were served before us. The food was good but we were clearly forgotten about and rather then telling us and apologizing they rushed our order. I very clearly only got a half bowl of soup in comparison to the rest of our party (I still payed $14) and another only got one small piece of pork yet we still payed full price. The staff were not rude but this will be the last time I eat here.
Extraordinary good ramen. I Will go back next time in Canmore.
Absolutely amazing food and quite affordable. The ramen bowls are quite generous and VERY filling.
Not very good.We ordered the Rainbow Roll, Katsu Curry and Katsu Ramen.Rainbow Role: ingredients weren't very fresh. Tempura shrimp inside tasted stale and dry, the rest of the sushi tasted like it was made a day or two ago.Katsu Curry: rice was soggy and curry tasted bland and watered down. Cutlet however was crispy. Donkatsu Ramen: this was actually pretty good you could definately taste the flavor of the broth. Noodles were good, pork slices were okay, not bad.Ramen is the only thing probably worth getting on the menu.
Amazing Food. It taste like real Japanese ramen and sushi. It taste like my Cantonese food. I would recommend this place for anyone. Will go back again. Must try place to eat.
A nice like restaurant tucked away in a side street in Canmore. Stopped here for a bite during a drive back to YYC and it didn't disappoint. The sushi here is pretty good, but the ramen is better. Sashimi portions are generous as well. There is plenty of seating, and the staff is very nice. The facilities are ok, but could be better kept. Parking is ample, the restaurant is located next to a pay lot, and there is also streetside parking.
A very nice place to sit and all the food were amazing! But, their service was extremely slow (too much!) and the server made a mistake. I felt they were not trained properly. And it was very odd to see the chef came out to clean up the table.
Great ramen. Great flavor good service. No complaints
Great service! They let us eat in right after they closed. Very happy end to our night!
New ownership, extremely friendly staff and service. The pork belly appetizer is delicious — tender and juicy! My whole family had ramen (I had the shoyu ramen) and it was so filling and tasty! Very good price for Canmore. Home made chili and garlic sauces also add a great touch to the ramen. Sushi delicious too. Will definitely be back the next time I'm in Canmore!
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Service was fast and the food was hot and tasty. Good selection of items on the menu. Prices were reasonable.
Excellent ramen. It was the best in Edmonton before Bob and Hiromi moved to open Chef’s Studio ramen in Canmore!! Will be coming back often whenever we’re here!!!!
Good sushi, sashimi was fresh and delicious and the matcha salt was an interesting touch. The owners really know there stuff and were very friendly. I would go back again and try other rolls. Locations and decor was good. The tea was excellent and you can really tell that they know their cuisine.
